song of the moment - buckets of rain

song of the moment
buckets of rain
beth orton and m. ward
(bob dylan cover)

buckets of rain
buckets of tears
got all them buckets coming out of my ears
buckets of moonbeams in my hand
you got all the love honey baby
i can stand.

i been meek
and hard like an oak
i seen pretty people disappear like smoke
friends will arrive friends will disappear
if you want me honey baby
i'll be here.

i like your smile
and your fingertips
i like the way that you move your hips
i like the cool way you look at me
everything about you is bringing me
misery.

little red wagon
little red bike
i ain't no monkey but i know what i like
i like the way you love me strong and slow
i'm taking you with me honey baby
where i go.

life is sad
life is a bust
all ya can do is do what you must
you do what you must do and ya do it well
i'll do it for you honey baby
can't you tell?

song of the moment - put your lights on

song of the moment
put your lights on
santana ft. everlast

hey now, all you sinners
put your lights on, put your lights on
hey now, all you lovers
put your lights on, put your lights on

hey now, all you killers
put your lights on, put your lights on
hey now, all you children
leave your lights on, you better leave your lights on

cause there's a monster living under my bed
whispering in my ear
there's an angel, with a hand on my head
she say i've got nothing to fear

there's a darkness living deep in my soul
i still got a purpose to serve
so let your light shine, deep into my home
god, don't let me lose my nerve
don't let me lose my nerve

hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
wo oh hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now

hey now, all you sinners
put your lights on, put your lights on

because there's a monster living under my bed
whispering in my ear
there's an angel, with a hand on my head
she say i've got nothing to fear
she says: la illaha illa allah
we all shine like stars
then we fade away

song of the moment - think of you

song of the moment
think of you
a fine frenzy

it's one hundred and nine degrees in this crowded room
no room to breathe with walls as cold as a gallery
this is no place for me
such hard faces in smoke
the smell lingers in my clothes
it's a bad night to be alone
but that's the way it goes

and i think of you whenever life gets me down
i think of you whenever you're not around
and you rest your bones
somewhere far from my own
yeah, but you still pull me home

i thought i had it figured out in a brand new life
with a great big house
and green initials on the towels
i should be happy now
well, you got yourself a family
and you planted roots down by the sea
i saw you once on the street
you didn't notice me

but i think of you whenever life gets me down
i think of you whenever you're not around
you rest your bones
somewhere far from my own
yeah, but you still pull me home

just to put your mind at ease
you don't owe me anything
you paid me well in memories

and i think of you whenever life gets me down
i think of you whenever you're not around
and you rest your bones
somewhere far from my own
yeah, but you still pull me home
you still pull me home
you still pull me home

song of the moment - running up that hill

song of the moment
running up that hill
placebo
(kate bush cover)

it doesn't hurt me.
you wanna feel how it feels?
you wanna know, know that it doesn't hurt me?
you wanna hear about the deal i'm making?

you be running up that hill
you and me be running up that hill

and if i only could,
make a deal with god,
and get him to swap our places,
be running up that road,
be running up that hill,
be running up that building.
if i only could, oh...

you don't want to hurt me,
but see how deep the bullet lies.
unaware that i'm tearing you asunder.
there is thunder in our hearts, baby.
so much hate for the ones we love?
tell me, we both matter, don't we?

you, be running up that hill
you and me, be running up that hill
you and me won't be unhappy.

and if i only could,
make a deal with god,
and get him to swap our places,
be running up that road,
be running up that hill,
be running up that building,
if i only could, oh...

c'mon, baby, c'mon, c'mon, darling,
let me steal this moment from you now.
c'mon, angel, c'mon, c'mon, darling,
let's exchange the experience, oh...

and if i only could,
make a deal with god,
and get him to swap our places,
be running up that road,
be running up that hill,
with no problems

and if i only could,
make a deal with god,
and get him to swap our places,
be running up that road,
be running up that hill,
with no problems

if i only could, be running up that hill
(repeat ad nauseum)

song of the moment - you went away

song of the moment
you went away
tegan and sara

you went away
cuz you said that you can't stand me
so i went away
i was sure that you can't stand me
well i don't think we have to be like this forever
is there more to life than love and being together?
you went away
cuz you said you couldn't love me
and i went away
cuz all i do is love you
well i don't think we have to be like this forever
there's more to life than love and being together
when my loud guitar comes in
when my thumpin' drums come through
when my loud guitar comes in
when my thumpin' drums come through
my loud guitar comes in
my thumpin' drums come through
well i don't think we have to be like this forever
there's more to life than love and being together
there's more to life than love and being together
is there more to life than love and being together?
i went away

song of the moment - midnight coward

song of the moment
midnight coward
stars

sweetness, sweetness never suits me
when i get it up to take you home
maybe it's love, love at first slightly drunk
now i'm walking with the sun in my mouth
worry, worry isn't well
gonna let it fall tonight from where we stand

what can't be decided
in the morning it will bring itself to you
i can't see what's coming
but i'm not saying it

sickness, weakness at the thought
of how you're going to play it
how long should i stay
promises, promises never cease to assist it
now i'm back on my back
please bite your words
hurry, hurry to believe
i can always trust as much as you deceive

what can't be decided
in the morning it will bring itself to you
i can't see what's coming
but i'm not saying it

what's your middle name?
how do you play the game?
i'll be the first to leave
when did i grow up?
i don't want to say too much
i'll be the first to leave

what can't be decided
in the morning it will bring itself to you
what can't be decided
before you enter thinking maybe it was you
and i can't see what's coming
i can't see what's coming
i can't see what's coming
but i'm not saying it

song of the moment - for the sake of the song

song of the moment
for the sake of the song
azure ray
(townes van zandt cover)

why does she sing these sad songs for me, i'm not the one
to tenderly bring her soft sympathy i've just begun
to see my way clear it's plain, if i stop i will fall
i can lay down a tear for her pain, a tear and that's all.

what does she want me to do?
she says that she that knows moments are rare
i suppose that it's true
and on she goes to say i don't care when she knows that i do.

well, maybe she just has to sing, for the sake of the song
and who do i think that i am to decide that she's wrong.

she'd like to think i was cruel,
she knows that's a lie for i would be
no more than a tool
if i allowed her to cry all over me.

oh my sorrow is real even though i can't change my plans
if she could see how i feel then i know she'd understand

does she actually think i'm to blame?
does she really believe that some word of mine could relieve all her pain?
can't she see that she grieves just because she's been blindly deceived
by her shame?

well, maybe she just has to sing, for the sake of the song
and who do i think that i am to decide that she's wrong.

i know nothings what it seems, maybe one day she'll start to realize
that if she abandons her dreams then all the words she can say are only lies
when will she see that the game is only to lose?
all that she offers me are her chains, and i got to refuse.

but it's only to herself that she's lied
she likes to pretend it's something that she should defend, with her pride
and i don't intend to stand here and be the friend from whom she must hide.

well, maybe she just has to sing, for the sake of the song
and who do i think that i am to decide that she's wrong.
well, maybe she just has to sing, for the sake of the song

song of the moment - my favourite game

song of the moment
my favourite game
the cardigans

i don't know what you're looking for
you haven't found it baby, that's for sure
you rip me up and spread me all around
in the dust of the deed of time

and this is not a case of lust, you see
it's not a matter of you versus of me
it's fine the way you want me on your own
but in the end it's always me alone

and i'm losing my favourite game
you're losing your mind again
i'm losing my baby
losing my favourite game

i only know what i've been working for
another you so i could love you more
i really thought that i could take you there
but my experiment is not getting us anywhere

i had a vision i could turn you right
a stupid mission and a lethal fight
i should have seen it when my hope was new
my heart is black and my body is blue

and i'm losing my favourite game
you're losing your mind again
i'm losing my favourite game
you're losing your mind again
i'm losing my baby
losing my favorite game
i've tried but you're still the same
you're losing a saviour and a saint

let me know if the links don't work
